Podcast Editing

I’m a huge fan of podcasts so when I started editing for my own voice acting gigs, it made total sense to branch out into podcast editing as well. I use the Avid Pro Tools Studio DAW, iZotope RX 10 Post Production suite, and other industry standard plugins to enhance my projects.

If you are looking for an editor, send me a message. I’d love to discuss the details of your project to see if we’d be a good fit. While I specialize in podcasts, I’m open to discussing any audio collaboration you might have.

Check out some of the shows I’ve had the pleasure of working on below, and then contact me for a free consultation and a personalized quote. I’ll even edit a sample of your audio for you so you can hear exactly how your podcast will sound with proper treatment.

Need a catchy podcast intro?

Check out some of the podcast intros that I’ve had the pleasure of putting together for my clients. The intro of your podcast sets the tone of the show and should capture the listener’s ear, drawing them in to each episode.

Elevate your sound with proper editing

Your podcast is special to you. You need an editor that treats your audio with the same level of care that you put into your project. Someone that will not just listen to edit your content, but will listen to you and your vision.

Do you have a whole series planned out? Ready to edit them all as you get prepped for a release schedule? We’ll go over your scope, timetable, and project needs to make the editing process as seamless as possible.

Big Goals?

No production has an unlimited budget. I totally understand that. When you reach out, fill me in about any limitations the project might have. We’ll go over everything together and see if we can find the right deal for your project.

FAQs

  • Clarity and good pacing are the key to a good podcast, or any story really. I edit to achieve these goals. That includes not just content editing, but also removing pauses, mistakes, and most filler words (uhh, umm, etc).

  • Sometimes filler noise is tied into other words. Editing these specific sounds out will cause your audio to sound choppy. Smooth audio is always better to listen to than harsh cuts.

  • Hum, hiss, clicks, pops, and interference sounds like these can be mitigated or even removed in most cases. The ability to remove or reduce these sounds is entirely dependent on the quality of recording. If you're not sure, send me a message first and we'll take a look at what can be done.

  • Loud noises like those from cars, lawnmowers, TVs, music, and things like that can't really be edited out without ruining the audio you want to keep. Reverb, plosives (p's) and sibilance (s's) can be treated but are not entirely removable. The best way to handle this is to record in a quiet place with sound treatment.

  • While some of these noises can be filtered using plug-ins, it's never perfect and it comes at a cost to the fidelity of the audio you want to keep. This will cause edited parts of your audio to sound different from the rest, which can be more distracting than treating the sound lightly.

  • While I don’t offer discounts per se, what I will do is cater my services to the scope of your project and what level of editing you need. I am always willing to discuss your budget to see if we can find a workable solution.
